HR Business Partner Development Programme
The objective was to ensure that the team were equipped with the strategic HR knowledge and skills to be able to support the business through this period of change, and set themselves up to scale longer-term.
We designed, developed and delivered a tailored HR business partner (HRBP) programme combining on-the-job learning, group workshops, 1:1 coaching, and encompassing real-life and contextual case studies. The programme included:
- Psychometric profiling followed by a bespoke diagnostic survey to establish current capability, skills gaps and future potential within the context of Key Travel’s HR strategy
- 1:1 feedback sessions with the team to discuss their strengths and development areas, with each individual receiving a summary report to enable them to create their own action plan
- A half-day workshop to explore the HRBP business model and help them develop an understanding of strategic HR and what good looks like in the context of their business.
- A half day workshop to explore the coaching mindset and how this can be used in a HRBP capacity so that they could better support line managers moving forward
- 1:1 follow-up coaching sessions to support the implementation of action plans
The benefits included:
- Development of key skillsand behaviour necessary to challenge their stakeholders and influence change as HR partners to the business
- Detailed action plans in place to allow the team to add strategic value to the business from an HR perspective, through improved stakeholder relationships
- Identification of strengths and skills gaps within the HR team, allowing the senior team an opportunity to reflect on current resource and capability and restructure to ensure they could deliver on their business objectives
