Career Development Framework

Having conducted organisational due diligence on the business and knowing the team and the culture well, Happy Days asked us to help them achieve this longstanding objective. ​

  • Ran 2×1 day workshops to clearly define the scope of the project, clarify essentials and desirables and define core competencies/values to form the basis of the framework
  • Developed a workable competency framework for all nursery based colleagues within the Happy Days business​
  • Ran focus groups to engage the teams on the ground to road test the framework and solicit feedback as well as gain clearer understanding of each individual role within the nursery team in the context of the new framework ​
  • Developed new role profiles aligned to the framework and with clear deliverables for each role within a nursery team ​
  • Redesigned a bespoke, innovative, clear, measurable and easily implementable performance management and development framework for the nursery team incorporating supervision, annual review and development/success​

  • Full engagement at multiple levels ensured the project had real traction and input across the business, making implementation and uptake much easier​
  • The whole team know what is expected of them at each level and understand how to progress and develop in their roles ​
