Organisation Design and Development

There was no HR resource in place and a Founder-centric and values driven culture.  Following an introduction from one of their Non-Execs, we worked on a 9 month project to devise their people strategy and deliver key projects within it. ​We helped the business create a much needed roadmap for People, as well as built HR processes and infrastructure that supported their positive and unique culture and didn’t feel too formal or stifling.

The benefits included:

  • Clear values statements to underpin the culture and all HR processes and ensure that the essence of Ella’s Kitchen can be understood by all employees regardless of company size and international expansion​
  • Clear HR roadmap to inspire employee confidence, aid retention and provide a clear remit for the incoming Head of HR
  • A consistent approach to PDPs that is fully adhered to by the team and objective setting that gives clearer commercial focus
  • A robust and consistent approach to recruitment resulting in cost savings and improved ‘fit’ of new employees​
  • Hiring the Project Lead as Head of Keeping People Happy (Catherine Allen) delivering continuity for the business in executing the plan
